I bought some books!

Allow me to show you what $13.75 bought me at a local library book sale this morning:

I was actually looking for a copy of Life of Pi because I want to re-read it, and now that I have a copy of Angela's Ashes I might just participate in thelittlereader's readalong in May.  As for everything else, well .... at least I'll not have to fret about having nothing to read (not that that was an issue before I purchased this haul).

oh, and definitely read Shantaram! it is long and imperfect, but still lovely reading.

  4. I have heard a lot of good things about A Confederacy of Dunces -- a lady at the book sale saw me pick it up and highly recommended it.

  5. wow! Awesome loot. I only had $4 in my wallet. I spent exactly $4.

BTW. I found a copy of Proust's Way by Shattuck. Did you read that or something like it as you read Proust? Just trying to mentally prepare myself for it...
