It's Monday -- What are You Reading?

It's Monday - What are you Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at bookjourney to allow us to share with others in the book-loving cyberworld what is on our reading plates.

This week I finished the following books:

  Books in Progress:
This last week was rough coming back from the holidays and having to work a (gasp) FIVE DAY WEEK!  This week doesn't look to be much better, but I am looking forward to finishing W&P.  There is also a small (medium) chance that I might be going on a tour of France in September and I am working on the details of that and it always helps to have something to look forward to.

What are you reading this week?

  2. Well done on War & Peace. How long did/does it take you to read the whole thing? And did you enjoy it? I'm not tempted, I must say.

A holiday in France, that should be really nice. Hope it'll happen!

  6. I am so in awe of anyone who can finish War and Peace. I've started it several times, but never managed to get all the way through. Good work, and happy reading this week!

  7. Right now? Right now I'm reading the first book ("Gardens of the Moon") of one of the most intense, dark, amazingly creative fantasy series I've ever encountered--"The Malazan Book of the Fallen Series" by Steven Erikson. Crazy good modern fiction!

Hang tough with Tolstoy's "War and Peace" it is one of my top five favorite novels of all time. There's nothing like it.

  8. A 100 page epilogue. Wow. I don't know that I'd have the patience for that long of an ending. I'm reading Cybils short list books now and more wishlist books. Come see what I finished!

  9. My five day week seems daunting as well. I look forward to your review of Kavalier and Clay. I've wanted to read that for quite some awhile but the size intimidates me.
