It's Monday - What are you Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at bookjourney to allow us to share with others in the book-loving cyberworld what is on our reading plates.
This week I finished the following books:
- The Homecoming Party by Carmine Abate
- Walking Israel: A Personal Search for the Soul of a Nation by Martin Fletcher
- War & Peace by Leo Tolstoy (page 950ish!)
- Best European Fiction 2010 edited by Aleksandar Hemon
- And the Show Went On: Cultural Life in Nazi-Occupied Paris by Alan Riding
Ooooh, what do you think of War & Peace? I'm currently reading Anna Karenina and I love it, but man is it taking me forever!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week :) Mine is at:

Have fun doing inventory! My inventory time comes at the end of my school year. I always find such interesting books! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWar and Peace seems to be a popular book right now. Here's what I read in the last full week of 2010. This has been the year of the picture book for my blog.
ReplyDeleteWow, War & Peace - great going! Happy reading :-)
ReplyDeleteVery impressive week. Hope you had a great Christmas. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWalking Israel sounds very good. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's funny...when I read War and Peace, way back in the day, I didn't think of the 900+ pages as an obstacle course like I would now. I also read Gone With the Wind twice (1000+ pages).
ReplyDeleteI should read it again.
Hope you enjoy your reading.
Here's my Monday:

I'm sad to say that I've never finished War and Peace; however, next month, I'm starting a readalong for Anna Karenina (another tome that's on my list of "I Must Read Before I Die" books). You had a great reading week!
ReplyDeleteWoah, good luck with War & Peace! I read Anna Karenina this year, and I think that will be all the Tolstoy for me ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with War & Peace! I started that once upon a time...don't think I'll ever actually read the whole thing. Loved Anna Karenina, though.
ReplyDeleteThat's an accomplishment with your progress on War and Peace! I should attempt more classics, but oh well. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Part 2! I couldn't wait to see how it resolved. And I'm really enjoying it. I hope you are too. Not LOVING it but being fully amused at least.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reading War and Peace! Have a happy and healthy new year!!
