Literary Giveaway Blog Hop

Judith at leeswammes has done it again and organized a fantastic giveaway throughout the literary blogging community.    Sixty blogs are participating and ready to give lucky readers some great books.  Be sure to check them all out.

I had such success with the last giveaway that I feel especially generous this time around and will be giving away two books so that two lucky commenters can experience two of my favorite reads so far this year:
These authors attended the Books on the Nightstand Readers' Retreat (best weekend ever) that I attended in April and they are both great people in addition to great writers.

How to win?  Just leave me a comment (with an e-mail address) letting me know which book you would prefer (if you like both, mention that too) and, for my own curiosity, tell me what has been your favorite book so far this year.  The giveaway is open internationally.

I will randomly select two winners on Thursday June 30 and contact them by e-mail.

Good luck and have fun hopping!  Make sure to visit all of the other participants in this fantastic giveaway:

I've been reading mostly absurdist fiction lately which is a bit left of center. My top two at the moment are Mercury Falls and Grundish & Askew. The voice and satire are so strong. I also liked the characters in Wahoo Rhapsody (that comes out in July). I read the ARC.

  99. Hello,

Thanks for your generosity, and for participating in this blog hop. I'd love for a chance to win "Bee-Loud Glade" by Steve Himmer. My favorite book that I've read thus far this year is: "The Bird Sisters" by Rebecca Rasmussen, followed extremely closely by "The Violets of March" by Sarah Jio.

  105. OMG you're one of the people that actually attended the BOTNS retreat! :) I'm a podcast listener all the way over in The Netherlands -- and I've jotted down The Revenge of the Radioactive Lady after Amanda's enthusiastic reviews!

Not all up to date yet with listening to all the retreat podcasts, so I'm not sure whether I haven't heard yet about the other book -- or that it didn't appeal to me...

  109. Could I please be entered for Himmer's book, it sounds intriguing!
I really can't tell what is my favourite book this year... Maybe Norwegian Wood by Murakami or The Shadow of the Wing by Zafon, but I also really enjoyed The Colour of a Dog Running Away by Gwyn, and Happenstance by Shields, which I haven't finished yet, is also really good. It's too hard and still too early to pick one up!

  110. I would love a chance to win either of these! I hadn't heard of The Bee-Loud Glade before, but it seems like the kind of offbeat book that makes me giggle! Revenge of the Radioactive Lady pulled me in from the first simply by it's title!

Trying to pick a favorite book this year is rather difficult, as I've read some GREAT ones; like apples and oranges, really. I'd have to say that the one that I COULDN'T tear myself away from most would be Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin - I read until my eyes were drooping, dreamed about the book, woke up, brushed my teeth, and started reading it again while I was walking back to the sofa with my coffee in hand. NOTHING else got done until it was finished!

Thanks for the chance to win!
